My Library poem – the winner! by an 11 year old from Frimley Green

Congratulations to the 11yr old winner of the Frimley Green Library poetry competition on the theme of Remember.  A poignant & fitting piece.

My Library poem – the winner!

poemFGRemember, remember the 11th of November,

dead soldiers, poppies and bombs,

I see no mendings of dead soldiers endings,

it all has to stop!

Why, oh, why did good men die,

they fought til the very end.

It all just seems so very demeaning,

I hope my message was sent.
