‘Marriage Vows’ by Charles A Holme

‘Marriage Vows’

by Charles A HolmeDSCF9120

“I little thought my heart would break
Because we KEPT our marriage vows
But so it was.

We had and held
From that day forth, from then to now.
Sometimes better, sometimes worse,
Peace and joy and sometimes rows.
Sickness and health and Fate allowed.
We loved and cherished.

But in keeping that most awesome vow
You left me with a broken heart.
“Till death us do part.””

Many thanks to Charles A Holme from the Headley Poetry Group for this contribution.
