You can read the full lyrics here. Although credited to both Lennon and McCartney as all of their Beatles compositions were, this is widely regarded as being the work of John Lennon. Far removed from his later songs such as ‘Imagine’, Lennon was often at his best when spouting nonsensical lyrics.
